It is hard to believe that Summer is gone, Fall is here and it is time to set the clocks back. Hope you all had a GREAT Summer. Have you seen the new sign located on the exit ramp of 675 & Dayton Yellow Springs Rd.? That part of the Exit ramp has been adopted by the residence of Park Hills Crossing. We are looking for volunteers to help with the up keep of this part of the ramp. It will take no longer than 30 minutes to do, and what a wonderful Community activity for us all. Ardene & Gordon Roberts will be in charge of the project. The first scheduled day will be October 30, meet at the Clubhouse at 10:00AM. Please let Louise know if this is something you would like to help with.

Left, Right & Center got off to a great start on Thursday Evening the 14th. We had 18 people to play the very first night. I have never heard this crowd so loud and full of laughs. LCR is a Fast, Fun Filled Dice game, it is very easy to play and everyone has a great time. We will be playing LCR once a month in the future, please join us this month on Thursday October 12 @ 7:00 PM in the Clubhouse. Bring your sack of dimes, snack and your favorite beverage. Come join us for a FUN evening.

We will be learning a new dice game this month on Thursday October 26 @ 7:00PM in the clubhouse. We will be playing Put & Take. This is a very easy game to catch on too and a fast paced game. Bring your pennies, snack, beverage and your great sense of humor for a fun evening.

Health News
Maxim Health Systems will be here at Park Hills Crossing Clubhouse on October 18 between 11/2:00PM for Flu and Pneumonia Shots. They will accept Medicare Complete & Medicare part B Insurance plus Aettna Insurance.. All others will be charged $25.00 for Flu shots and $40.00 for Pneumonia shots. Please bring your Insurance information with you on the 18th. The shots will be given downstairs so please park in the lower parking lot.

Don’t forget to call 1-800-324-1851 and set up your appointment for the Life Line Screening. The screening will be held here at Park Hills Crossing on November 7, 2006. You must be pre-registered. Call today!!!

Don’t Forget to set your clocks back one hour on October 29. This is the last day of Day-Light Savings Time. It is also a GREAT time to remember to close the vents on your home. This will help keep your home more comfortable during the cold months ahead. If you need assistance in doing this, let me know. We have some wonderful people in the Community who has volunteered to help anyone needing assistance.

Roll the Dice at Argosy River Boat Casino November 3rd
We will have the bus pick us up right here at Park Hills Crossing at 8:30am and deliver us back here around 5:00pm that day. The cost of the trip will be $15.00 per person and includes a lunch voucher for the buffet. What a deal!! Even if your not a big gambler, the trip will be FUN, the company GREAT and the FOOD good. Please fill out the info sheet that was in your mail box this week, along with your trip fare, and return it to Lousie in the Clubhouse by October 27th to reserve your seat. There will be extra room on the bus, invite a friend to go on the trip with you! (Transportation Provided by Jim’s Mini Tours, Based in Dayton, Jim’s Mini Tours also offers trips to the Grand Victoria Casino, the Belterra Casino Resort and Spa and other popular destinations throughout the Mid West)

Happy Hour, Social Hour
Happy Hour, Social Hour, what ever you would like to call it, we have a lot of fun. We talk, laugh and enjoying Great company. Join us this month on October 19, 2006, at 4:00 PM. Bring your favorite afternoon beverage and snack to share.

Sundae Sunday
Sundae Sunday Ice Cream Social is the fourth Sunday of each month. Join us on October 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Clubhouse. Bring the Family and for only $1.00 each you can make the biggest and best Ice Cream Sundae or Banana Split you would ever want. The money collected will pay for the Ice Cream, Toppings and the remainder will go into your Special Clubhouse Fund. Come join us on Sunday and support your Clubhouse.

C-4
Don’t forget that C-4 meets the first and third Tuesday of the month in the Clubhouse at 10:00 AM. This is a wonderful fellowship group for our Community. We all need just a little extra help every now and then and C-4 is there to offer a helping hand. Great group, Get involved, you will be glad you did.

Bunco
Bunco is the First Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Clubhouse. This month’s date is October 5, 2006.

Left, Right & Center
This is a Fun and exciting game for everyone. Please join us on Thursday October 12 at 7:00 in the clubhouse for a fun evening. Bring your sack of dimes, favorite snack and beverage.

Exercise Class
The weather is getting a little cooler, we will be spending more time inside, and getting less exercise. Let’s keep fit together. Staring Monday October 2 we will be exercising with Richard Simmons and the Silver Foxes in the Clubhouse. Our schedule will be each Monday & Friday at 9:00 AM.

Sweetest Day!!
Don’t forget your Sweetie on October 21 for Sweetest Day.

Coffee & Doughnuts
Let’s get together on Tuesday October 10 at 9:30, for no good reason other than we want to, for Coffee and Doughnuts. This gives us an opportunity to visit and catch up on what’s going on in the Community. Come Join Us!!

Fall Parade of Homes
Park Hills Crossing will once again be part of the Dayton area Fall Parade of Homes. This gives us a great opportunity to show off our Community and Lifestyle here at Park Hills Crossing. The Fall Parade Of Homes will be October 14 & !5 and October 21 & 22, from 12:00/5:00 PM. If you see people in the Community talk to them, tell them about your home and your lifestyle here at Park Hills Crossing.

Football
Fall always means FOOTBALL!! Come join us in the Clubhouse on Sunday October 15 For Football, Hot Dogs, Popcorn and drinks. The TV will be on, and your favorite NFL team will be playing. ( It can be the team of your choice). This event will be sponsored by Red Oak Homes, so come in and plan on a fun afternoon with the best seats in the house and FREE FOOD. It just doesn’t get any better than that!!

Flu & Pneumonia Shots
Mark your calendar, this is very important!! Plan on getting that flu shot here at Park Hills Crossing this month October 18 between 11:00/2:00 PM no appointment necessary just come in the lower level of the clubhouse during those times. Flu shots $25.00, Pneumonia Shots $40.00. You only need one pneumonia shot ever 10 years. You need a flu shot ever year. Stay Healthy this year, get a jump on those germs!

Madison’s Bistro
We have a special treat lined up for all of you this month. We will be going to Madison’s Bistro for lunch on October 25. Madison’s Bistro is located in Lamplighter Square on Far Hills Ave. in Centerville. We will be leaving the Clubhouse at 11:00 AM. I must know by Monday October 23 if you plan on going so reservations can be made. If you would like to help drive that day please let me know. I have attached a copy of the lunch menu for Madison’s Bistro, I’m sure you will find something very tasty to eat. Join us, we have been having a great time on our little day trips.

Halloween
What a FUN time of the year! Let’s do Lunch !! A Harvest Party Lunch!! The Clubhouse will provide bread and a meat & cheese tray, we need you to provide a salad or dessert. Please bring your own place setting and beverage. The time will be 12:00 on October 31. This is not a TRICK but it will be a TREAT!. Please RSVP so I will know how much food we will need.

Reiki (pronounced “ray-key”)
Do you know what Reiki is? Reiki is healing energy in its truest sense. The Reiki Practitioner channels energy through her hands, it activates the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Come meet Judy Brown, Reiki Practitioner for a Demonstration and answer and question time. Judy will be here in the Clubhouse Monday October 9, 2006 at 1:00 PM. Come join her, Reiki is non-invasive and is suitable for everyone. Please let Louise know if you will be attending.
