The Clubhouse is Beauitful

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

All of the residents came into the clubhouse on Tuesday and decorated for the Holidays.  Christmas trees up and down stairs, lights everywhere, the wreaths are hung and in no time at all the Clubhouse looks like Christmas.   This is an annual event for the residents, they have a great time doing this , enjoying coffee and a lot of laughs.  We decided this year to put a patriotic  in the foyer, it’s all red, white and blue with American Flags.  It’s an awesome tree!!

The Day After

Monday, November 26th, 2007

I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving. The day after Thanksgiving marks the start of the Holiday Shopping. I decided not to get out on Black Friday, stayed home and ate left overs. A lot of our residents here at Park Hills Crossing enjoyed either visiting Family or having Family visit them for Thanksgiving. Which ever, they had a great day. Wishing all of you a very Happy and Safe Holiday Season.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

Well tomorrow is the big turkey day. What a great time of the year it is, just taking time for family and friends. Oh yes, don’t forget lots of good food. Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday. I do take this time to reflect on all the past Thanksgiving dinners we have had at our house. At one time both sets of Parents, Grandparents,Siblings,Neices and Nephews all came to our house for Thanksgiving dinner. What a group of people, we were so fortunate that both sides of our Family enjoyed spending time together. What a great day we would have. Times have changed, we are so blessed to still have my husbands mother who is 91 still coming for dinner. All three children, both Son-in-laws and the five Grandchildren will be with us for dinner on Thanksgiving. We will always miss those that are no longer with us, but will always be Thankful for those that we have today.

I would like to wish all of you at Park Hills Crossing and all of our residents that have become snowbirds a very Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy your time with Family & Friends. Memories are the best thing we have, we can pass them down to other generations and keep them with us at the same time.

Taking Care of Each Other

This is a Community like no other, people helping people is what they do.  Our community has had some cataract surgeries this year.  It is amazing how this group of people has been here for each other.  We have a list of people who volunteer to drive to appointments or run errands if a neighbor is in need.  There is a lot of 55+ communities around, but none of them compare with Park Hills Crossing.  It is our people, living in this community that make it so special.  I’m proud to be a part of this wonderful community.
