Christmas

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

Well December 25 has come and gone. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with Family and Friends. We had a great time, the Grandchildren were so excited they could hardly contain themselves. We all went to Christmas Eve service at our Church and came back to our house, for dinner and opening presents. What a fun evening we had. We are so blessed at our house with Children and Grandchildren, my Mother-in-law is 91 years old, she was able to attend Church and have dinner with us.

When all the food has been eaten, all the presents have been opened, everyone has gone home, memories of this Christmas is all we will have left, I hope all your memories are as wonderful as mine. Happy Holidays

Great Fun

Friday, December 21st, 2007

We had our holiday party at the Park Hills Crossing clubhouse on Wednesday night. What fun we had, great food, lot’s of laughs and a wonderful time was had by all.

We always do a fun gift exchange where you can open a gift or take a gift from someone who has already opened a gift. Well sometimes it gets a little rough, we had people hiding gifts in hopes that someone would forget that it was there. Fear not, they were not forgotten. We had a couple of Santa’s that was on the want list of many.

It is always fun to get together with Family & Friends, the Holiday’s just make it a little more special. Have a Wonderful Holiday!!

Giving Back

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

The residents at Park Hills Crossing sure know how to give back. We have completed our Christmas project, and it was better than we thought. Our goal was to help two families out with food and a special something that would make them smile this Christmas. We exceeded our goal and was able to help three families out this year. The residents at Park Hills Crossing are the most caring and sharing people I have had the honor to know. Between the quilt club making beautiful quilts for the homeless and the entire Community providing a Christmas for three families, what a great place.

Helping Others

Thursday, December 13th, 2007

Sometimes we forget that helping others is the best gift that we can receive. The residents here at Park Hills Crossing understand that more than most. This year the community has adopted two seniors who could use a little extra help. Through the contributions from the residents, a couple wishes will come true. Both of them will receive a generous gift certificate for all of their Holiday food needs and more. Both said they didn’t need much, one said her telephone doesn’t always work, and the other said that after her stroke it was hard for her to walk on the carpet because it needed to be re-stretched. Both wishes will be taken care of for these people. Hopefully these two seniors will have a happier holiday because of the caring people who live at Park Hills Crossing. This is the best community and the best people I have ever known!!
